Evil Geniuses

About

Evil Geniuses, commonly referred to as EG, was founded in 1999 and has successful teams in many different games. In the world of Dota 2, EG is the only North American team to have ever won The International, which it did in 2015. That team was led by one of finest captains Dota has known, ppd, who has since retired (twice).

2015 was a banner year for Evil Geniuses. After an unexpected roster break-up, the squad picked up 15-year-old SumaiL who broke into the scene with phenomenal talent in the mid position. They went on to win TI5 in a Grand Final that saw them overcome the CDEC Gaming squad that had, the day before, sent to them to the lower bracket.

Since The International 2015, EG has remained a tier 1 team that consistently recruits tier 1 talent from around the world. The current roster features players from the Philippines, Canada, Denmark, Israel/Canada, and Russia. As North America’s fiercest representative to the global scene, EG and its players face high expectations and tough international competition.
