By Chelsea JackMarch 20, 2021
Natus Vincere announced today that Andrii "ALWAYSWANNAFLY" Bondarenko and Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasilenko have been diagnosed with coronavirus. As such, the team will be competing at the Singapore Major with two stand-ins: Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, whom we featured in "Missing Cores: SumaiL, Ramzes, 23savage, Sccc, and more", and team coach, Andrey "Mag" Chipenko.
Natus Vincere qualified for the Singapore Major by placing second in the CIS region during the first 2021 DPC season. The team will begin in the group stage, which starts March 29.
Fellow CIS team, Virtus.pro, has also experienced some health-related difficulties. They recently announced their own stand-in, in the event that carry player, Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, is unable to play.
The Singapore Major begins March 27 with the Wild Card stage. Six teams will compete for the last two places in the group stage. You can follow all the action with us here on TrackDota.
