A few short days after the regular season's conclusion comes a period of roster changes that will impact teams all the way up to the second season of the DPC. One major change has come from T1’s Dota 2 team, which announced the release of Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong.
Despite T1 placing third in Southeast Asia's Upper Division of the DPC and securing an invite to the Wild Card stage of the Singapore Major, it seems T1 have decided to make changes to their roster.
These post-regular season roster changes are a result of the ruling that Valve has implemented for the DPC going forward. According to the DPC rules
, teams have until Tuesday, April 6, to drop any players from their roster and until Sunday, April 11 to confirm their rosters for the next DPC season. While the decision to drop JaCkky might be surprising to some fans, it will only be the first of many roster changes that will happen between now and the Singapore Major.
There is a talented pool of free agent players to pick from. Some notable free agents include:
- Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan
- Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon
- Anathan "ana" Pham
- Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev
Igor "iLTW" Filatov
The most likely replacement for JaCkky at this point would obviously be Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, as he one of the few top-tier core players left to be picked up as a free agent in the Southeast Asian region. As for the other players? Don't be surprised if any or all of these players get picked up by an Upper or Lower Division team in the next few days.
