Perfect World has released the list of teams competing in the Chinese branch of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit season.
Four teams have received direct invites:
These teams will be half of the eight in the Upper Division in China's DPC. Another eight teams have been directly invited to compete for spots in the Upper Division, with four more to qualify through an Open Qualifier. The bottom eight will compete in the Lower Division.
The teams invited to the Closed Qualifier are:
- Dalanjing Gaming
- Team Magma
- Phoenix Gaming
- LBZS
- Team Aster
- Royal Never Give Up
- Invictus Gaming
Sparking Arrow Gaming
There's no doubt the Chinese region is stacked; we're excited to see how the teams fare against each other in this new competitive season.
Open qualifiers will get underway January 4-7, with a Closed Qualifier from January 8-10. The Chinese region's DPC season will go on hiatus from February 8-21 and finish on March 14. Perfect World has already released one image to set the scene for the region:
The region will also be competing with a LAN format, unlike every other region competing in the DPC. We expect production values to be high, but hope everyone stays safe given the status of the current global pandemic.
Tune in regularly TrackDota for our coverage of the Closed Qualifiers and the upcoming DPC season.
