Safe lane carry Randy Muhammad "Dreamocel" Sapoetra has left the BOOM Esports organization. An official statement from the team was released early on December 5 in which the team thanked Dreamocel for his time as a carry. The leave appears to be on mutual and amicable terms. The team currently has no replacement.
Dreamocel began his Dota 2 career playing for BOOM Esports. He was picked up for the starting roster in 2017, and the team immediately dominated the Indonesian scene. Dreamocel helped elevate Indonesian Dota to new heights; BOOM was the first Indonesian team to qualify for the Dota Pro Circuit. The squad’s biggest championship was a $25,000 purse from ESL Indonesia Championship Season 1 in 2019.
BOOM Esports recent achievements with Dreamocel include second-place finishes at ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia and BTS Pro Series Season 3: SEA. At DOTA Summit 13: SEA, Dreamocel helped earn a bronze trophy with an average 607 GPM and 634 GPM across their 4-8-2 match record.
Catch BOOM’s rivals collide at BTS Pro Series Season 4: SEA starting December 8.
