ESL One Germany 2020
has seen the second round of its group stage come and go. Four teams could now qualify for the playoff brackets in the next round, while four others are facing elimination. Let's take a look at the results:
Perhaps no surprises here, but Team Secret, OG, Alliance, and Team Liquid have all beaten both opponents they have faced. Now the squads will be paired off together to send two through to the playoffs at the end of round three. The match-ups are scheduled to be Team Secret versus Team Liquid and OG versus Alliance. You'll want to watch both series as a Liquid upset would be epic, and the second series should be tight.
Hellraisers, EXTREMUM, Cyber Legacy, and Tempo Esports are the bottom squads currently. Tempo Esports had a rough round one and two pull with Team Secret and Nigma respectively. HellRaisers just officially picked up Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk
and this will not be the start they wanted to have with the new roster.
These teams will face elimination, with their series scheduled to be the first of the day on October 13 and October 14. First up is EXTREMUM versus Cyber Legacy, and then HellRaisers versus Tempo Esports. Either way, we're going to lose at least one of the six CIS teams at the competition.
Round two featured eight best-of-three series.
2-0 Winners include:
1-1 Middle teams include:
0-2 Losing teams include:
Teams in each section will be paired off for round three.
