Geek Fam disbands, cites lack of DPC

Malaysian organization Geek Fam announced they are disbanding their Dota 2 team.
Geek Fam indicated that the reason for this is "the cancelling of Dota 2 Minor and Major tournaments of the season due to safety concerns...difficult for us to continue with the indefinite delay for TI10 and Dota Pro Circuit."
Geek Fam had been on the rise, recently winning ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League and [BTS Pro Series 2: SEA(https://www.trackdota.com/events/32). After Marc Polo Luis "Raven" Fausto left Geek Fam to join Fnatic, Geek Fam's tournament results following the transfer haven't been as good, with a 7-8th place finish in ESL One Thailand: Asia.

Geek Fam assures fans that "once there is a visible future for Dota 2 and the DPC," they will return to the scene.
Valve recently announced the delay of the Dota Pro Circuit. Previously, we had anticipated a two-tiered league being run in each region. This league system would have addressed some of the concerns raised previously about security for teams and talent, as well as providing financial support for not only top tier players but also lower-tier teams that might take part in the lower tier league.
Geek Fam are the second Southeast Asian team to disband this week due to pressures from the global pandemic and, specifically, the DPC delay. Reality Rift announced yesterday they were cutting their Dota 2 team.
